HIGH PRIOR is a narrative political sim in which you run for district council in the walled city of Bulwark and inherit your mother's ledger. Each week you spend actions and stamina at your desk, pick places on the map, hear out your staff, and build speeches and debate lines from sentence cards; what you promise becomes a bill you must later face. The current build is a free browser playtest covering roughly the first 30 to 40 minutes.

HIGH PRIOR is a narrative political simulation game set in the walled city of Bulwark after the One-Day War. The player runs for district councilor and inherits a ledger left by their mother—a record of promises spanning four generations of the family across twelve chapters; every promise you make falls into the next generation's ledger, to be kept or broken. Each week's loop takes place at your desk: choosing locations on the map, hearing out your staff, and spending action points and stamina. Debates and speeches are composed from sentence cards; what you say wins votes and also becomes promises. The current release is a free browser playtest with roughly 30 to 40 minutes of content; Chrome or Edge is recommended, and the first load is about 190 MB. The playtest anonymously records gameplay (time spent on each screen, weekly actions), and this can be turned off in settings. The author states that it was designed, written, and programmed solo, while art, music, and some text and code were produced using generative AI tools.
